LOL, Yeah. my bad. That last linein my previous post should read "Each strategy is unique, and value files from specific tunes should only be applied within the same strategy, for best results."
I also found that the old value file from TeamZX2.com "Best free tune" will not work in the read strategy that is in my 2000 ZX2. I loaded it and tried to started the car, it idled for about 10 seconds and stalled.

something just doesnt seem right to me about that. the strategy itself does modify the values that you input (a little bit) but this occurs when changes are applied to the tune.
value files are even supplied from SCT for replicating tune changes for easy drop-in items such as MAF or injectors, the idea is that the correct values can be inputted in the correct locations in one easy click. you can even create them yourself to easily replicate tune changes or to do specific tasks within the tune without having to change multiple values all the time.
the value files apply across not only multiple strategies, but any ford box code/strategy you can open within SCT. SCT does have an order of operations when applying values and building the tune or it will be a (to quote the SCT tuning manual) "basket case". however, this shouldnt have applied with the best free as it is all applied in one shot.
did you just apply the best free values then save and flash then test? no other changes made after applying?

yay, did some body work for a tzx2 member. replaced door and had to swap out internal because donor door was from a cool 98 which had 2 options and car being installed onto was a 98 sport with power windows, remote entry and power mirror it took a while because had to also replace mirror which was busted off. Straightened out fender while at it. Car looks good again but the car was painted a week ago so hurts because new paint and because replacement door does not match now even though it is white as the rest of the car. Painting the black trim will help it match more but at least the door closes easily now and the body is straight again

driver seat broke/pulled one of the rail bolts through the seat in silver1 last week. just got around to swapping EvilZX2s stock driver seat in its place. i did forget that i stole the seatbelt from this for the Sparco seats and had to pull it and remount again lol. hammered/tapped the bent and busted seat around a bit to better fit the broken piece of the rail back in. did a little work with a burr on both sides then tacked it in place and welded it back together. took a few pics along the way i'll do some grinding and get that all cleaned up and contemplating making a little backing piece to reenforce there? idk if its necessary but might be a good idea very nice. welding skills ftw

woot, just got a silver 01 today. it's a premium atx car. Has power windows, power locks, tilt, cruise, working ac, had premium sound replaced with aftermarket radio and scosche adapter, and those little chrome 14 inch 5 spoke wheels for the premium cars. now it's dilemma time. i like this silver car because low miles and real clean inside and out. has some dents but those are easy to fix. the dilemma is whether i should keep this as my daily and just sell the white 98 I have not touched in a while because busy with the other stuff. in California the emissions testing is easier for 00 and newer cars and the silver car has half the miles of the white car. White car is already 5 speed doe and will look good with blue interior. Silver car will also look good with blue interior. Blue interior was optional in the white cars and the silver cars so it wont look out of place in either. The 98 would be correct with the blue as that was the original interior color of the car i have now so rarity n stuff. can also sell either. silver car is auto and easy flip once i fix all the little things wrong with it, even if it needs new trans. white car may be harder sell because high miles and 5speed. lol, decision time for me. I have rounded up: intake, springs, borla, rear disc swap, 03 radio adapter and installed radio in it, wheels, 21mm sway bar, short throw shifter, matching shift boot and sr cluster. i'm leaning toward the 01 because if the trans is good i can drive an auto car for a while then 5speed swap when the time comes plus i can add sr ecu when 5speed swap. The vinyl i got to put blue stripes on the white car will also look good on the silver car as a bonus I'm going to drive it for a few days to assess it and post some pics of it in the daylight

I get that blue is rare but myself, i prefer dark interiors and would take dark charcoal over any other ZX2 interior any day. but thats just me. need to get rid of a high mileage 5 speed eh? shame im on the opposite side of the country

It is charcoal and clean charcoal interior my thing with the blue interior is that it looks cool in person. I was about to make so blue mx3 seats in vinyl just for the coolness of it but then i got an extra set of covers from another member and plan on using them to make the inserts of the mx3 match the blue interior After driving the silver car around today it appears there are really no issues other than maybe needing brakes and add trans fluid. the interior of the white car has to come out anyway because it is destroyed. foam eaten out of the rear seat, carpet is awful, cigarette ashes everywhere, need headliner, dash damaged, just awful. If i did not mention it, i have another member wanting a charcoal swap into a 98 sport. i told him he was going to have to do most of his work on it while i do the work into and on the silver car, the blue car and the white car all at the same time. Then i have another member of the tzx2 who wants charcoal seats to replace the sedan seats he has. so those can go into white car with replacement medium graphite interior. It's sometimes a chore to keep up with all these things

changed out the headliner today in the white car and did some more fixes to the interior. I tried to take a pic of the headliner to show how bad it was sagging and how faded it is but the pics came out like crap and cant see these things Visors are all worn out so i dont have a plan for them yet. Theyll have to stay that way until i figure that part out. started taking things apart because the cluster needed tending to due to led bulb installed into the cluster. This was a mess and now i have even more things to fix. one of the first things to fix will be to change out the hood release cable if you look closely you will notice two problems here: 1-why is there a zip tie here? and 2-why is the nut on this side of the plastic?
the reason for this is the po broke this when putting on the led lights. it looks like those idiots over tightened it and broke it then came up with this fix. Hopefully the one i think i have is one i really do have so i can change it otherwise i have to better fix this issue. this sort of poor handling of parts also explains why the gauge surround is all busted up too. I know i have some of those but i dont know for sure if i have in medium graphite
