SCT recently caved to the Environmental Protection Police, I made the mistake of updating my software, now I cannot access anything relating to engine function, even after completing the EPA compliance course. is anyone else having this problem?

All of my stuff seems to be there still. I did the online trainings a while back and updated and didnt see any difference, just ran the updater again and ill let you know if anything changes.

I’m having issues now after updating. Advantage won’t open, just goes to a license agreement screen with no options

So I acquired a newer laptop ( other one didn’t have wireless internet and was running windows xp) I was able to download and access advantage software. I had to agree to the terms of service as it was unable to do that on the old laptop. Now I can’t open my tunes or create a new tune

So your tunes would be saved somewhere on your old computer, you may have to dig those up and copy them over if you dont have them backed up somewhere. Unless youre saying that youve copied them to your new computer and still cant open them up, and in that case i would contact SCT.
youve got the USB dongle in the computer right?

Yup, had the tunes on new computer and dongle was in.
As always I received fantastic tech support from SCT. The added some files, and fixed the updater. After everything updated, I was able to open my Factory MTA4 file, and was also able to open all my tune and value files.
I got a couple tunes loaded on to the x4, just have to get it plugged into the car and flash it now.
Unfortunately, with the change in analog cable for data logging, I have to wait until my new cord comes in to log AFRs. Thanks for your input

Well surprisingly my analog cable showed up yesterday. Got that wired in today and after some messing around in the program I seem to got it reading properly.
Now to log tomorrow and get into some tuning. Still lots of work to be done!

Got my issue fixed, with the help of SCT.

So I got my analog cable wired in, and am able to create data log configurations, and log data and transfer them back without issue. I can select the analog input on my x4 and change the formula so it reads properly. My issue is when I try to view that data logs in Livelink, the analog isn’t shown correctly. I’ve double checked the tools and made sure the formula is correct. But for some reason it won’t show up correctly. I’ve attached a picture

I took a data log with the laptop directly connected and was able to get it to display correctly. Still not sure why it won’t transfer from the x4 and display correctly though. Any help would be appreciated. I’ll be in touch with SCT tomorrow regardless as I’d like to see if they can pull a tune off my xcal 2

i only do datalogs through the X4 to a laptop. i do know that on the x4 there is an equation for wideband, i think if youre getting different results from the x4 vs x4 through to livewire that would be due to the differences of the equation for your analog in. check and make sure they are the same equation, all its doin is taking that wideband signal (0v to 5v) and applying the equation to show you lambda or AFR (or whatever youve got them configured for)

Yes I set it up on the x4 and it shows correct afrs with the aem formula
If I datalog with the laptop it shows the correct afrs and with the aem formula.
But if I transfer the log, and try and watch it on the laptop it shows as the picture previously posted. Even tho I’m watching it log correctly on the x4

I've not tried this though next time i start the car ill datalog with the x4 and see what happens when i open it in livewire. i only do datalogs through the X4 to a laptop. i do know that on the x4 there is an equation for wideband, i think if youre getting different results from the x4 vs x4 through to livewire that would be due to the differences of the equation for your analog in. check and make sure they are the same equation, all its doin is taking that wideband signal (0v to 5v) and applying the equation to show you lambda or AFR (or whatever youve got them configured for) So you do your datalogs directly to the laptop and just use the x4 as the connection to the car? Yup. I only datalog straight to the laptop with the x4 as a passthrough. I like to see data on the laptop while im driving X4 can be seen in this video Laptop in this video
