Hey fellas,
I installed some Sylvania 9007SL headlights that I picked up at the auto parts store. They were just what they handed me down there when I asked for LED. When I got back home I looked on the box and they said they are for fog lights application only. I found out that they still plug right into the headlight hole on the car and work with bright and dim. The issue I am having is that they appear to be pretty much the same as the old headlights for brightness. I'm fine with that, but I was wondering if I should be expecting something more from LEDs. Before I go messing with height adjustment and maybe removing the little reflector thing in the housings I thought I'd ask what your experience has been. I rode in my uncle's new Volvo and realized then that manufacturers have completely given up on trying not to blind people. Since I am getting destroyed by the arms race that appears to be modern headlights, I think an upgrade would be awesome.
Thanks.

I tried these LED bulbs from Amazon and have been happy. Currently running them in both of our dailys and they are definitely brighter than halogens, even with nasty fogged up housings. SEALIGHT 9007/HB5 LED Bulbs, 60W... www.amazon.com/dp/B08GYCLYZ1?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I think those are the same exact design as the Sylvania set that I used, just not the brand name version. Maybe I just have to adjust them a bit. Seems like I can see the road just fine, but the distance is not the best. They aren't really any worse, but I guess my hopes were a little high 😂

yeah, theyre no HID projectors thats for sure
i built a set of HID projectors for my turbo car. amazing light output but quite a bit more investment in money and WAY more time invested in doing something like that

Can anyone help me with my led taillights? My blinkers blink really fat now. Thanks

Easiest way to resolve that is install load resistors at each bulb.
Or find LEDs with load resistors built in.
Outside of that you can run LED tails if you remove the blinker module and unsolder the shunt resistor and replace with (can't remember the resistance of the top of my head) a resistor. Then you're good in the rear with LEDs only front will still hyperblink with LEDs tho
I went all out and bought a TapTurn module and completely rewired everything to work and now my turbo car has TapTurn and all the stuff that comes along with it
