Looks like I am now in the search for another ZX2...
The unibody is too far gone for repair, the two years it took to find a shop in my area that was willing to even look at the car to do an estimate has done the body of the car in.
have contacted a TeamZX2 member who posted that he just titled an abandond ZX2, and may be selling it.

That's a bummer. How good of shape is the one your looking at?

I'll be getting photos later today, it is in Montana, it has a build date of 9/1999 and it's a premium package car, like my car, and runs. I'm thinking swap ECU's so my tuning is in it, swap over the upgrades, drain and pull my engine and trans (I'll have spares that way), have it painted (with the paint I already have), and re-register it here in PA as collectable with the plate I already have. and sell the shell of my rusted zx2 to the metal recycling place about 500 yards from my shop.

Sounds like a plan. You must have some serious cancer going on.

Unfortunatly it took me two years to convince a body shop to even look at it, the majority of shops around here either want to only do collision work on cars less than 5 years old, or cars made before 1970. I finally found a shop willing to look at it about two months ago, get it to them on Tuesday, and I had a meeting with them today, the floor pan is rusted through in spots (you can see the backing of the carpet standing under it while it's on a lift). The rockers on both sides are rusted through, there are rust holes in the frame rails. The doors, roof, hood, and fenders are all in good shape. I may sell the parts I don't need for the replacement ZX2.

Update, the guy with the running ATX has not gotten back to me, so I am strongly considering a shell that's in Tennesee that was a MTX.
My question is how difficult will it be to re-wire the car for ATX, since it will not have an engine or trans in it and I will need to install the engine and trans from my car into it?
I am planning to make a decision on what shell to get by the weekend, the one in Tennesee or the one in Deleware....

I'd assume the wiring harness, ecu and shifter assembly will need to be transferred over.

there is definitely plugs on the ATX wiring harness that arent on the MTX harness. ive gone from ATX to MTX, but not the other way around.
that part of the harness is the main harness, this may cause a bit of a problem for you...

Swapping the harnesses takes time but isnt undoable either.
