I think it would be cool to see everyone's best examples of some of the worst things about the zx2, like the design of the parts, working on the car and such. I've had at least 3 really stupid things get in my way or cause me extra issues while trying to do a simple repair on my zx2.

The power steering pump design is a puzzle. Changing the high pressure power steering line hose on my zx2 was a joke. They made the line angled in such a way, it makes it impossible to get the pipe to thread, and even if you unbolt the whole thing to get the pipe on first, the pipe blocks the mounting bolt XD I just ended up taking off the bracket the pump was mounted onto, off the side of the engine, mounted the pump to the bracket, tightened up the pipe, then attached the pump and bracket as a whole to the engine again.

Pretty sure I just bend that carefully out of the way until the bolt clears.
Hmm, I really like working on the zx2. Theres nothing that readily comes to mind thats a pain.
Possibly cuz ive been playing with these things since 03 in just used to it.
Honestly I think the zx2 and zetec spoiled me. Working on other vehicles I always seem to compare how easy it is to do anything on the zetec/zx2.
We pulled apart an ej25 engine this weekend (pulled out of an sti a few weeks earlier) and I swear in the amount of time it took us working on the engine stand i could have pulled an engine out of a zx2, pulled it apart and sat around and BSed for an hour.
