Purchased a 2001 ZX2 new off the lot and spent a few years upgrading it before selling it to a friend. 15 years later I picked up a 2003 as my 16yr old son’s first car. He has converted to rear disc, installed stainless brake lines, fixed all the vacuum leaks, replaced all shifter linage bushings, converted to aluminum thermostat housing, replaced plugs & wires, converted to electric door locks & windows, keyless entry, and is outside now installing a superchip. If there are any ZX2’s in South or central Florida, I’d love to connect him with you all.

That's cool your son picked up a zx2 and enjoys modifying it. Overall a fairly easy and straight forward car to work on.
